I just had to post a blog....my first earthquake. Fairly scary when you're woken up by your bed shaking from side-to-side. I feel for those who live in countries where it's commonplace

_ film music
ok, so maybe not directly William Echo-related, but still, its part of my life so I thought I'd share it; for my uni course I have been working on film music (re-writing the score to the film "Love Is The Devil"), and to be honest it's been slowing down progress on the EP. There is a conflict of interests, and, with Panic, I hit a wall where progress wasn't really being made. However, I'm really enjoying making the music for this film. When it's done I'll upload it and put the link up on here (if you're interested) =]
Perhaps it's a career path. Well, if I'm any good at it that is.

_ another day, another mix
The past week has been hectic. Uni work has taken up most of my time, and it probably will continue to do so for the next few weeks. But fear not...my spare time will be spent on mixing and recording the EP. I'm getting input from various people so that I can get another perspective on the tracks. I went into the studio for a few hours today, continuing work on Panic. I'll be thinking about the next tracks to record now and the general direction of the EP. So far, it's sounding good =]

_ so how is it going?
very well actually.
I spent yesterday re-recording some guitars (to acheive perfection!) and tweaking Panic...it sounds great. I'm really quite excited about this track, I think it could end the EP in a truly epic manner. I still have to record vocals for it, hopefully that will go as well as the rest of it has. Then I'll have a couple more tracks to do...
Can't wait for the release. I have to start thinking about some artwork now!

_ tell it to the
tell it to the government / tell it to the one you love / tell someone who cares / tell it to the government / tell it to the trees / yell it on your knees / nobody cares / nobody cares / i'll do as I please.
_ better late than never
Last Friday I began work on an old song that's been kicking about since last year..I played it a couple of times at the Undercroft Open Mic night (at Westminster Uni). It has evolved since then and is sounding nicely electronic, a departure from my original intentions for the song (which involved clarinet, sax, piano and trombone...) but I think it works. Will continue work on it tomorrow.
