_ a day of remixing

Today was a day for polishing, sculpting and refining. Red Flag and The Redshift sound even better, and Rome is near completion. Very very near completion. Also started a bit of work on something new, don't know how that will turn out. we shall see!

_ nice day

Nice day today in Brick Lane and Oxford Street, saw some nice flowers (20 roses for a fiver, apparently..) and popped into Rough Trade. Tried composing the next song on the tube...some inspiring rhythms there =] Took some pics

and felt like a tourist. Not as grassy as Somerset. but picturesque in its own way

_ run rabbit run red Rome

spent today in the Bombshelter recording a new track for the up-coming EP. spent much of the time flicking between Rome and Cash For Honours....the latter sounding very poppy...perhaps a bit too dancey. We shall see.
rome is coming along nicely, forgot my camera so no pretty pictures. Very atmospheric, and builds and builds into....a city...no wait, an empire? see what I did there?

_ locked doors & nothing new

Well what did I say...studios were not open, so there's nothing new. Shall try again tomorrow. Have lectures. Don't know when, damn. I'll check now

_ new year new year

new year, new recordings.

After a Christmas break in Somerset I'm back in London and rearing to go back into the studio. Although I say that after every break and there's usually something that goes wrong....in any case, the plan is to start recording a new song tomorrow. If the studios are open. If not then...well, I guess I'm stuck.

Should be putting up some more photos and general eye candy too with my new camera =]

Until next time

Yours faithfully,

So how was your Christmas? Good I hope =]

I now have a bass guitar to record with (hurrah), so keep an ear out for that one! It now means I have to think up bass lines for my songs.......and you didn't even notice there wasn't a bass in there already eh..

Can't wait to get back to recording. Next up should be piano-y. And maybe harpsichord-y? I'll leave you in suspense ;-)

oh, and on a side note, thanks to all the nice people i met at the Queen Camel Acoustic night when I played last Thursday...twas most positive.

Now be off with you, and make a start at that month's supply of turkey you now have!

_ RED FLAG ON YOUR IPOD?

Would you like to have Red Flag on your mp3 player, phone, computer, car stereo or other multimedia device?

Suggestion:
Head over to my MySpace page and click on the download link next to the song. Guess what? It's free!

Other uses:
- Playing at parties late at night
- Playing to your brother's girlfriend's sister's mum's ex who just happens to own a record company and is looking to sign me
- Showing off to your friends the fact that you now own a song in 7/8 that you can dance along to. Sort of.
- Playing backwards and finding hidden messages
